On the front of the shirt the two stripes have a specific meaning: the red stripe represents blood shed by Africans in their fight for liberation in North America and abroad, the green stripe represents the natural fertility of the African continent, which is nurtured by always having respect for the land, the three words at the bottom are in Arabic and they say, reading from right to left: action, destiny, purpose. On the back is a modified IKEIME flag of the African diaspora North America RWBB version with the IKEIME Gyealephtav symbol and the IKEIME slogan written in both English and Igbo; therefor all together this flag represents IKEIME's ability and ongoing task of becoming a force for change in the diverse lifestyles of the many cultural or ethnic groups within North America and the world.
